How to Argue Well
What does it mean to have a good argument as a Christian? Is it even okay to argue? The problem is that we’re all thinking people, but we think differently. Some disagreements don’t matter much, but others do. So whether you write formal arguments on a theology blog, serve on church board, need to talk to your boss about a work problem, or persuade your family members to care for Mom, learning when and how to make your case so that it makes sense to others, has the best chance at getting results and keeps your relationship healthy is the goal.
We’ll talk about what a good argument looks like, when you should or shouldn’t argue, how to argue well if you need to, and what to do when you get blindsided.

Being part of a family, a church family, and the EMC family has all added rich personal experience, while the current climate of argument in our culture has underscored the importance of knowing how to argue well.
