Ministerial Equipping

The Ministerial Equipping day will provide an opportunity for ministry leaders to discuss how to effectively raise the next generation to continue the work of the EMC. We’ll talk about how we as a conference can be more effective in advancing the work of next generation engagement, local church ministry and discipleship, church outreach and expansion, and Christian post-secondary education.

Session 1: Authentic Encounter in Ministry

Authentic encounter with God is a significant part of spiritual development. So how do we invite and practice authentic encounter with God without simply chasing experience?
~Mo Friesen

Session 2: Discussion on Christian Post-Secondary Education

Lets discuss the ways that we can promote, support and encourage young adults to engage in Christian Post-Secondary Education.
~ Mo Friesen and Dave Reimer (SBC)

Session 3: Core Strength in the Church

The Great Commission is a directive to produce disciples, not just manage Christians. What are the challenges and opportunities we are facing right now in our quest to be a disciple-making movement of churches?
~Andy Woodworth

Session 4: Thinking Outside the Walls

~Carl Heppner

General Sessions

Session 1: Work

Six days you shall labour. We will seek purpose in the work God created us for and called us to do, where we spend the majority of our waking hours.

Session 2: Rest

On the seventh day you shall rest. We will seek rest, peace, and refreshing in the daily, weekly, and annual cycles that God has designed for us.

Session 3: Rejoice

Keep it holy. We will learn to rejoice and celebrate the extravagant generosity of the God Who invites us to see His glory.
